Douwe is the Editor-in-Chief of the Luxembourg Times. He is an experienced international journalist, who has covered banking, economics, and financial regulation. A Dutch national, Douwe started working for Reuters in Amsterdam. He then was based in Frankfurt and Zurich, before becoming Chief Correspondent in London in 2008, where he covered the financial crisis. His final posting for Reuters was in Washington D.C. Before Reuters, he worked in Public Relations at the Dutch Central Bank. Most recently, he was employed as a spokesman at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).
