Baker McKenzie Luxembourg appoints new M&A partner

Baker McKenzie Luxembourg has announced the arrival of its new partner, Jean-Philippe Smeets, hired to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.

Smeets will join two current partners at the practice -  Jean-François Findling and Elodie Duchêne - as well as a large team of associates.

Smeets has 20 years experience on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and commercial law, and will now support the growth of Baker McKenzie Luxembourg's corporate activity, in addition to its M&A team.

Baker McKenzie Luxembourg is a law firm that has in been in the Grand Duchy for over a decade. It advises clients on major cross-border financings, transactions and investment structuring. 

Its M&A practice consists of three partners, more than 20 lawyers, and legal practitioners.
