Luxembourg-based firm LuxTrust SA, known for providing a nationwide banking security device, has appointed Fabrice Aresu as general director after he joined the cybersecurity firm in 2017, the company said on Thursday.

Aresu heads a team of 70 computer engineers, experts in regulation and customer support officers located in Luxembourg.

The new general director vowed to expand LuxTrust's activities in the Grand Duchy as well as in Brussels and Paris where the firm recently opened new offices, a press release said on Thursday.

LuxTrust is widely known in Luxembourg for developing the "Token", a security device that makes online purchases and bank transfers safer.

Aresu previously worked for Reuters, Oracle and Luxoft.
