Christmas trees will be collected free-of-charge across Luxembourg City in January.

Trees should be placed on the pavement in front of your home before 6am on your normal bin collection day.

Trees which have been spray-dyed or have any other type of decoration will be collected along with other household rubbish.

Untouched trees with no spray decoration will be collected separately to be composted, either on the same day as your usual rubbish collection or the following day.

Trees measuring over two metres must be cut in half to be collected. A full list of collection days by street is available here.

Alternatively, it is also possible to drop off your Christmas tree at the recycling centre on the Route D'Arlon.

It is open from 7am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 6pm on Saturday.
