Eight shows over three days at four locations for this year's Luxembourg Comedy Festival

It's time for a laugh at Luxembourg's very own comedy festival spanning three days and eight shows, encompassing stand-up acts from around the world, as well as local talent.

The festival starts on Friday and will also be spread across four venues: Marionnette on rue de Strasbourg, Rocas and Konrad in the City centre, and UpDown in the Grund.

While the comedians may come from many different countries including Barbados, Portugal and Italy, all performances will be in English.

Friday

Two shows are planned for Friday night: "Afterwork laughs" with four acts from USA, Italy, Luxembourg and Germany, while later in the evening over at Marionnette on rue de Strasbourg "Festival Showcase" brings comedians from Canada, Barbados, Portugal and India to the stage.

Saturday

Saturday events kick off at Rocas with "Que lata! Let's talk about the Portuguese and Portugal!" where three Portuguese acts joking about Portugal in English.

"Femme Fatale" is the title of the early evening show at Marionnette with four acts from the UK, USA, Canada and Belgium performing. It is followed by "Topic & Joke Roulette!" at the same location.

"Who knows who will take the stage? A surprise mix of at least seven pro and local talents. Anything can happen!" says the event publicity.

Sunday

On Sunday, the first place to be is UpDown bar in the Grund for "Nico Yearwood Solo Special - Bajan Sensation" a stand-up comedian from Barbados.

Then it's over to Konrad for "Capito! Let's talk about the Italians and Italy!" where Giacinto Palmieri  and four friend perform their funny act in English.  

The stand-up comedy festival closes at UpDown with Canadian Dana Alexander’s solo special - "Shady With a Chance of Sunburn."

Tickets

The festival ticket allowing access to all the eight shows costs €50 or individual shows cost between €12 and €20 in advance. Times for the shows vary.
