(NG) The new construction project at Pulvermuhl, which will bring some 25,000 m2 of housing and 1,600 m2 of office space to eastern Luxembourg City, has begun its operational phase.

Around 210 units of housing are expected to be built over the course of the project. Furthermore, around 8,000 m2 of public space will be made available, 3,000 m2 of which will be green space.

The district—formerly home to factories producing flour, cotton and linen—will be given the facelift by Immobel Luxembourg, which has invested 5 million euros in the project. According to the company's CEO, the site has "exceptional potential", adding: "We will develop a bucolic neighborhood between the city and nature, joining the best of both worlds."

The plans have already been two and a half years in the making, and the development works are expected to last roughly three years.
