Police are appealing for witnesses after 23 cars had their tyres slashed in Grevenmacher.

Police are appealing for witnesses after 23 cars had their tyres slashed in Grevenmacher.

The vandalism was thought to have been carried out some time between 4.50am and 5.10am on Saturday morning.

The acts appear to have been carried out at random, affecting cars parked in rue de Caves, rue de l'Ecole, rue du Centenaire, Kuschegaessel, Place du Marché, Passage de L'Hôtelde Ville and Grand Rue.

The vandals punctured at least one tyre on each car. Police have been able to construct a rough description of the suspected perpetrators based on information given to the police.

They are looking for men aged from 20 to 40 years old, with short, dark hair, wearing dark trousers. One had a dark jacket with two white stripes across the back and wore a light-coloured jumper.
