3 injured in brawl over a dog at shopping centre
Two security officers were injured in a brawl sparked by a drunk man on Monday at the Belle Etoile shopping centre and it was all because of a dog.
It all began just after 8pm when security guards approached a man at the bar inside the shopping centre on route d'Arlon and asked him to put his dog, unattached by his side, on a lead.
The owner responded stubbornly by refusing to comply. He became progressively more verbally aggressive before lashing out violently at the guards.
Even after the police were called and intervened, the man did not calm down and in the scuffles both security guards and the offender himself were slightly injured.
The man, highly inebriated and stinking of alcohol, was escorted home by police with his dog.
