A cracking storm over Luxembourg
People in Luxembourg were treated to a majestic electric light show in the skies over the Grand Duchy on Friday night.
Temperatures reached the hottest yet this year during the day, provoking a powerful storm in the north of the country, with shards of lightning that could be seen in the south.
These pictures sent in by readers give an idea of the awesome aerial display.
The storm, which brought heavy rain to the capital in the early hours, cleared much of Friday's humidity. For the next few days the temperature looks set to remain around a more bearable 20°C.
