(ADW) An armada of excavators, trucks and diggers are currently busy working at the site of the new ‘Ban de Gasperich’ shopping and business area. While on one side of the road the new PwC headquarters is gradually taking shape, on the other side of the road work on agricultural land only began recently.A road has emerged branching off from Rue Raiffeisen, while and excavation work on an area designated for a big Auchan supermarket complex is under way but no building work has yet begun.Another supermarket, Colruyt opens its doors for the first time on Wednesday for the customers where only a few months ago books were sold, in the former "Messageries du livre" building. The main progress can be seen on the other side of Rue Raiffeisen where the PwC building has already passed stage being a simple ‘shell’ structure and details are beginning to be added. Work on a road leading up to and around the building began a few days ago.According to the City of Luxembourg the ‘Ban de Gasperich’ complex should be complete in about one and a half years’ time.
