The bar, based in the Grund, closed for nearly two weeks to allow the new management to give the place an overhaul. A new bar, tables, chairs, sofas, lighting and name greeted pub-goers at the special opening, which attracted scores of customers.

Sergio Costa, one of the four new managers of Oscar's, told wort.lu/en: “I think that lots of people enjoyed the event. Everyone said that the place looks much better."

The bar was taken over on November 1 by new managers Henrik Jenson, Tim Probyn (English), Sergio Costa (Portuguese) and Balazs Hajdu (Hungarian).

The managers also run Soul Kitchen, in Hollerich, and pool bars Q42 and Q45.
