Close to 12,000 book-lovers are expected to attend the Walfer Bicherdeeg book fair, taking place this Saturday and Sunday in Walferdange.

Hailed as one of the biggest cultural events in Luxembourg, the fair attracts visitors from all four corners of the Grand-Duchy and surrounding areas.

The theme this year is "creativity as a driver of innovation" or as "the most individual way to share one's personality with the rest of the world" according the organisers.

Visitors will spend the weekend meeting authors, editors, translators, graphic designers and others, and will be able to buy both new and second-hand books.

The fair is open 10:30am until 6pm on Saturday and 10am until 6pm on Sunday. Entry is free.
