(ADW) From Thursday October 5 Cactus Belle Etoile in Bertrange will host the second regional market featuring a selection of products exclusively from Luxembourg.

The first market was held in Juy at the Agricultural Fair in Ettelbruck and follows on from an initiative that began life in 2009 entitled "Aus der Regioun, fir d'Regioun" or “From the region for the region”.

According to organisers at Cactus, the market responds to requests from customers who are increasingly looking for fresh, quality and local produce.

In turn, local producers taking part in the campaign agree to have the logo "Aus der Regioun, fir d'Regioun", appear on their produce, which should also be top quality and sustainable.

Among the list of products available will be; tea from Luxembourg, trout from the River Sûre, organic goat cheese from Berdorf, Häremillen wine, potatoes from Redingshaff, Simon Okult beer, traditional bread, Luxembourgish mozzarella, coffee produced in the Grand Duchy and of course a variety of meat, fruit and vegetables from local farmers.
