The annual “Fête de l'Europe” is taking place at Place Clairefontaine on Saturday, with a full day of events planned on top of an open day at the European Court of Justice.

(CS) The annual “Fête de l'Europe” is taking place at Place Clairefontaine on Saturday, with a full day of events planned on top of an open day at the European Court of Justice.

Starting 11am a variety of associations and clubs will provide entertainment on Place Clairefontaine, including traditional song and dance from EU members states, such as Portugal, Spain, Ireland, the UK, Rumania and more.

A student choir from the European School Luxembourg will perform at 1.45pm, followed by the cutting of a special Europe cake, which will be distributed for free to passersby.

Representatives of the European Year of of Citizens Alliance will also be on site to provide more information about the European Year of Citizens 2013.

Meanwhile, curious visitors can also get a glimpse of the European Court of Justice in Kirchberg, which will be open to the public from 2pm until 6pm, with a bus shuttle running between the City centre and Kirchberg to facilitate access.
