With nearly 70 percent of votes in Luxembourg's centre district counted, projections are in and the trend continues with the CSV losing votes and the DP gaining.

(CS) With nearly 70 percent of votes in Luxembourg's centre district counted, projections are in and the trend continues with the CSV losing votes and the DP gaining.

In parliament, the results from the south would see the DP gain two seats to reach a total of six. The CSV, the LSAP and the Green party would meanwhile lose one seat each.

Among the winners would also be “déi Lénk” with one seat.

The Pirate Party and the PID meanwhile would miss entry into parliament.

The DP's Xavier Bettel, who is also the mayor of Luxembourg City, was the top candidate in the centre electoral district. He ousted Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker from the top spot of the popularity polls earlier this year.

In the latest Politmonitor survey from September 2013, Bettel continued to be ahead of the Premier in the popularity ranking; however Juncker took the top spot as the most competent politician, followed by the City mayor.
