Dudelange opens Medieval Christmas market on Friday
(ADW) You might think all Christmas markets are basically the same and in many cases they are. In Dudelange, however, they do things a little differently and, as they have done for several years now, officially open their Medieval Christmas Market on Friday, December 6, at 6pm.
Nestling next to the “normal” Christmas market with its 40 chalets, 20 stands will form a little medieval village offering a blend of stalls selling traditional wares, a tavern, performing acrobats, an authentic medieval camp and no doubt a few other surprises and ideas for Christmas.
The “Winter Queen” will be in residence and a magician with his flea circus will entertain the crowds. Note that the medieval market is only open from 5.30pm every day.
Besides the standard Christmas market and the medieval version, Dudelange also offers live music every evening on the main town square from 5.30pm every evening. Everything from jazz, Celtic music, and of course Christmas carols will be performed.
