As part of a new monthly feature focusing on Luxembourg's expat community, wort.lu/en asks Geeta Rajaraman, a US national working as Digital Communication Specialist at the International School of Luxembourg, five questions about her life in Luxembourg.

What brought you to Luxembourg?

My then boyfriend, now husband, lived in Luxembourg.

What helped you get settled in Luxembourg?

Attending a lot of local and business networking events and actively volunteering with the Red Cross.

What do you like most about your life in Luxembourg?

Being involved in the community and being able to see the difference you make, which would be difficult in a bigger city.

If you could change one thing about Luxembourg, what would it be?

Teach motorists how to drive on roundabouts? Maybe also more options for cheap, quick, healthy food.

Which tips would you give new arrivals?

Don't compare: Every city and country has its own personality, learn to appreciate it for what it is. And, perhaps more importantly, get out of your comfort zone and mingle.
