Luxembourg reported 92 new infections with the coronavirus over the weekend, and another death, bringing the total number of people succumbing to Covid-19 in the country to 120.

A total of 14,376 people had a coronavirus test carried out over the weekend, of which 1,680 were non-residents. The country has carried out more than 630,000 tests since the beginning of the pandemic, and has one of the highest per capita test rates in the world.

On weekends, the health ministry publishes a limited data set, presenting only the number of tests, positive cases and deaths. Data from Friday show 48 people hospitalised, six of whom needed intensive care.

Since the start of the pandemic, around 7,200 people have tested positive for the virus in Luxembourg, with close to 5,850 considered recovered.
