(ADW) Luxembourg’s draft budget for 2013 has now been amended and “improved” cutting 200 to 250 million euros. The majority of MPs, as they stated last week, now wish to see further savings, something that CSV President Michel Wolter now urges the government to do.

Wolter a guest speaker at the CSV seniors' Congress at the weekend invited Jean-Claude Juncker to seek out ways of making more cuts.

"I want the prime minister and his colleagues make suggestions. And I will not hear that it is not possible",  said Wolter firmly.

The adjustments to the budget requests are in addition to the CSV and LSAP presentation of between 200 and 250 million euros in savings already cut. CSV parliamentary leader Marc Spautz stated that the measures will be worked out in consultation with the government.
