August ends with Last Summer Dance
(CS/Cy) Outdoor festival Last Summer Dance celebrated its premiere on Saturday, with music, art and more on the menu at the one-day event in Mersch.
The festival was organised by Melting Pot, a Greater Region not-for-profit aimed at promoting multiculturalism and a more sustainable way of living.
Hence, the festival did not just offer music, but also discussion groups on political topics from integration and racism to recycling and the financial world.
Jugglers and artists joined young musicians at the festival, which also boasted a Japanese jewellery-making workshop, film screenings, a swap shop, and Thai and vegan food.
While the festival did not yet draw crowds this weekend, which can be partially blamed on the poor weather, it might well turn into a staple of the Luxembourg festival summer over the coming years.
