(MSS) Street artist Luis Seven Martins alias L7M has crossed the Atlantic from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and come to Luxembourg to put a spray can stamp on the giant concrete canvas in Gasperich.

Like all the other artists from the Goodbye Monopol project, L7M has his own distinct style. His works are made with mixed media like acrylics, china inks and latex. They are colourful and at times chaotic – in a good way.

Often using birds as motives, he mixes geometric shapes within the rounded bird heads and bodies creating puzzle like paintings and sometimes tag "Respect is a rare bird in the world" underneath.

Martins' fascination for drawing birds, the symbol of freedom, started when he got a book with animal motives as a child, that he then started copying. Winning an art price at school, he was motivated to keep doing art.

Goodbye Monopol is open every third Friday of the month, where visitors can enjoy a drink at the bar where DJs and bands will play live.
