Budding young actors and singers will have a chance to perform in Lionel Bart's musical Oliver in a joint production being organised by Pirate Productions and New World Theatre Club.

Directors are looking to cast young people in the roles of Oliver Twist, The Artful Dodger, members of Fagin’s gang and other chorus-style roles.

Auditions for the show take place on June 20 and June 27 between 2pm and 5pm at Restaurant Odeon, 1st floor at 10, rue Munchen-Tesch, L-2173 Luxembourg.

People wishing to audition should have a good command of English, can be aged from 8 to 18 years of age and need only attend one audition date.

At the audition they will be asked to sing a short song of their choosing, act some lines from the script and follow some simple dance steps with the choreographer.

It is also requested that parents/guardians attend a short (10-15 minute) presentation about the show starting at 2pm.

Attendees should bring something to drink and wear non-slippy shoes! It is anticipated that rehearsals for Oliver will start mid-September 2015 with the show to be performed from April 14 to 17 at the Centre Culturel “Kinneksbond” in Mamer.

Auditions for adult roles will be announced in the coming weeks.
