The Kaiser Chiefs are coming! Awaited with anticipation at Galgenberg Park, near Esch-sur-Alzette, the headline act of this Year's Terres Rouges festival will blast onto the stage this Sunday, their last appearance in Luxembourg being at the Rockhal in 2008.

Overcoming tension within the band that almost led to their break-up, the Kaiser Chiefs have bounced back with a new album “The Future Medieval”. The English band will bring the Eleventh Terres Rouges Festival in the south of Luxembourg to a close.

But before the Kaiser Chiefs play, the musical menu will be wide and varied. Local band Los Duenos del Ska will open the festival at 1:30pm having won their slot in a competition held during the Esch-sur-Alzette Fête de la Musique celebrations. They will perform their musical mixture of ska, reggae and punk.

Next up will be Luxembourg rappers De Läb. With their energetic and often theatrical performances, they are bound to be a crowd-pleaser.

Belgian group Lucy! Lucy! and powerful French band Shaka Ponk follow on before popular British rock band The Subways and Finnish group Sunrise Avenue take to the stage as the penultimate acts before the mighty Kaiser Chiefs do their thing!

If you want to go tickets are still available costing EUR 25. Full details on the website: www.festival-terresrouges.lu
