(CS) After it was announced that all shops of drug store chain dayli would close their doors at the end of September, it has now emerged that they will remain open until October 23, as efforts to find a buyer continue.

Luxembourg union LCGB said in an official statement titled "To be, or not to be, that is the question...", that negotiations to find an investor are still ongoing, despite the passing of a previously set deadline.

According to the LCGB, the company has confirmed that it can pay the rent for its premises for the month of October.

However, the salaries of the company's employees are not secure, and the labour union insists upon clarification in this matter.

Dayli Luxembourg is apparently also looking into finding ways to restock the shelves, which have not received new goods since the Austrian parent company folded in July.

Around 110 staff are currently employed by dayli in Luxembourg, and the labour union has said that it is in constant contact with the drug store company to ensure the best assistance for employees.
