(CS) Police on Thursday presented a suspected drug dealer to a Luxembourg City judge, after apprehending the man outside a drugs centre in Route de Thionville near the central train station.

A police patrol spotted a throng of people surrounding a man outside the drugs centre on Wednesday afternoon. It turned out that the man was selling drugs for cash and exchanging them for other valuables.

The man, as well as several buyers, were taken to the nearest police station for a search.

Police found a substantial sum of cash and 10 grammes of heroin on the suspect. He was arrested by order of the prosecutor's office and presented to a judge on Thursday.

The drugs centre in Route de Thionville provides clean needles and a safe consumption environment for addicts, as well as offering the opportunity to wash and launder clothes.
