Department store Kaufhof eying Luxembourg expansion
(CS) German department store Kaufhof is currently looking into opening its first subsidiary in Luxembourg, according to business magazine “WirtschaftsWoche”.
Speaking to chairman Lovro Mandac, "WirtschaftsWoche" reports that Kaufhof could open in the Grand Duchy as early as 2015.
“We are currently looking into the option of starting in Luxembourg,” Mandac confirmed to the magazine.
The company already runs 15 department stores in Belgium, and announced in July that it was set to open another one.
In Germany, the group runs 105 department stores and 17 sports stores.
