Driver seriously injured in tree collision

(ADW) A car veered off the road and crashed head-on into a tree on Wednesday night in the north of the country, seriously injuring the driver.

The incident occurred at about 7pm between the towns of Wincrange and Hamiville in the north east of the country.

The force of the impact seriously injured the driver and a rescue helicopter was called out to transport them to hospital.

The car was completely destroyed in the accident that, for the time being , remains unclear just as to how it occurred.
