(CS) A driver in Diekirch had to be taken to hospital for a blood test to determine her blood alcohol level after she proved too drunk to take the police's breathalyser test.

A caller on Saturday evening around 9.45pm alerted police to a car zig-zagging across the road. The vehicle was spotted by police and, conveniently, stopped just outside the police station.

The female driver showed serious balance and coordination issues and she was unable to successfully complete a breathalyser test. Police therefore had to take her to hospital to have a blood analysis carried out.

The woman's licence was confiscated and she was taken home by a police patrol. Her own car was impounded. It appeared that she had scraped it on a roadside barrier, with the entire right side showing scratchmarks.
