easyJet links Luxembourg to Milan
Jetsetters can travel from Luxembourg to the Italian fashion capital of Milan for as little as 27 euros thanks to a new route from easyJet.
The budget airline is offering three to four flights per week, depending on the season, to Milan-Malpensa from March 4 next year. Prices vary depending on availability but range from 27 euros one way to 60,50 euros return (including taxes), severely undercutting ticket prices offered by Luxair for the same route.
A statement from the airline says that flights will be leaving on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays.
The new route follows the launch of a Findel-Gatwick link which easyJet opened in October this year. In a statement announcing the new route, easyJet said that it was expecting more than 50,000 passengers on the UK connection during the first year, with this success being a key factor towards offering further services.
For the Milan route easyJet is anticipating some 45,000 passengers in the first year.
