Credit card processor CETREL has appointed Roland Ludwig as its new CEO, following a unanimous decision by its Board of Directors on Tuesday.

Credit card processor CETREL has appointed Roland Ludwig as its new CEO, following a unanimous decision by its Board of Directors on Tuesday.

Swiss national Roland Ludwig was born in 1975 and has many years of experience in the financial sector, having worked for Zurich Insurance Group and Swiss Re, before moving to SIX Group in 2009, where he worked in the roles of Director Corporate Development and Head Capital Management.

He has been on the Executive Board of CETREL since April 2012 and has served as interim CEO since July 2013. Most recently at CETREL he was Head Corporate Development and Service. Roland Ludwig has an MA HSG in Finance & Capital Markets and is a CFA Chartholder.

With about 200 employees, CETREL SA achieved a turnover of more than 55 million euro in the 2012 financial year.
