(CS) Foetz-based chemical company Chemolux is said to strike between 40 and 140 jobs, radio 100,7 reported on Friday.

This comes after the company lost one of its major contracts producing dishwasher and washing machine tablets for the German chemical enterprise Henkel, making up around 65 percent of the revenue according to business documents.

According to the OGBL, Chemolux has been trying to secure new contracts since March when Henkel suspended the collaboration.

Around 300 people are currently employed at the plant. Despite the critical situation, Chemolux has thus far refused to negotiate a jobs protection plan.
