New strategic head at publishing house
Luxembourg publishing house Saint-Paul welcomes a doctor of theology and professor to the role of president for its board of directors.
The nomination of Monsieur Erny Gillen to the role took effect on February 3. The 52-year-old, who is a doctor in theology and was a professor of moral theology for 23 years, currently serves the role of Vicaire général.
He has held several directorships with various social and charitable works, including serving as President of the Caritas Confederation, Executive Chairman of the Fondation Caritas Luxembourg, Caritas Europa President and Vice President of Caritas Internationalis.
The Board of Directors, management and staff of Saint-Paul Luxembourg wish him success in the strategic direction of the company.
Mr Gillen succeeds Mathias Schiltz, who joined the board of directors in 1976 and has served as its chairman since May 1987. Mr Schiltz resigned after 35 years of service with the publishing house.
A Saint Paul spokesman said: “Mr Schiltz performed this function with commitment, passion and skill, true to his Christian beliefs and humanist.
"The Board of Directors, management and staff of Saint-Paul Luxembourg warmly thank Mr Canon Schiltz for his exemplary dedication and wishes him well for the future.”
Saint-Paul is the largest publishing house in Luxembourg, producing a number of websites and printed newspapers, including the Luxemburger Wort, the Point 24 and Portuguese language Contacto as well as radio stations DNR and Radio Latina.
