Turkish Airlines expands Luxembourg offer

Starting June 2014, Turkish Airlines will offer daily flights between Istanbul and the Grand Duchy, expanding the current offer of four flights per week.

(CS/aa) Starting June 2014, Turkish Airlines will offer daily flights between Istanbul and the Grand Duchy, expanding the current offer of four flights per week.

Turkish Airlines first offered direct flights between Turkey and Luxembourg in June this year. Since then, the connected has attracted over 10,000 passengers.

“The summer season went very well for us,” Turkish Airlines' Luxembourg country manager Tuncay Eminoglu said to the “Luxemburger Wort”. Flights were usually booked to 80 percent of capacity, above the expected 70 percent.

Because of the high demand and to improve the link for connecting flights from Istanbul further east, the airline has decided to add three further flights per week in 2014.

Currently, the Turkish Airlines flights from Findel to Istanbul leave around noon. Starting June 2014, the airline is also planning to reschedule some flights to 6pm.
