Embassy thanks community organisations
The British Embassy to Luxembourg hosted a reception on Thursday to thank community organisations which support British nationals in Luxembourg.
From English-language theatre groups, to parent support organisations and faith leaders, the guest list included the full gamut of bodies set up for expatriates in Luxembourg.
“We are very dependant to deliver all the things we believe we should be delivering as a British Embassy, on your assistance and goodwill,” said British Ambassador to Luxembourg, adding: “We don't take that for granted.”
During the reception, hosted at the British Embassy Residence in Luxembourg City, Pro Consul Evelyn d'Hertog introduced herself.
In post for the past nine months, the Pro Consul works with counterparts in France and Belgium to provide a service to British nationals in Luxembourg.
She called on guests to get in touch if they had an issue, saying: “There is no problem too big.”
