Esch/Alzette hosts culture night
(CS) On Saturday, Esch/Alzette will host the “Nuit de la Culture” with a late night programme of arts and culture activities at over at dozen venues in the city.
Visitors can chose between three different routes, taking in different sights around Esch, including the local theatre, the National Resistance Museum, the “Kulturfabrik” arts centre, several art galleries, the Rockhal and the former steel site.
The first events start at 3pm and the night closes at 3am, when an electronic music concert at the Rockhal comes to an end.
Other highlights of the art night include a special evening of events at the National Resistance Museum, which currently hosts an exhibition on Nelson Mandela, dance troupe IT Danca from Barcelona, chamber music recitals at the “Conservatoire” music school, Polish rock music, a screening of Luxembourg's Oscar-winning short film Mr Hublot, and much more.
Free shuttle buses are available to take visitors around Esch and the different sites of the “Nuit de la Culture”.
Entry to events is free.
