A café owner in Esch-sur-Alzette was violently beaten in the early hours of Saturday morning by customer who then fled with cash stolen from the register.

(ADW) A café owner in Esch-sur-Alzette was violently beaten in the early hours of Saturday morning by customer who then fled with cash stolen from the register.

The incident happened on Friday night when, according to the police report, a customer at a café in Esch waited patiently for closing time. The male perpetrator then confronted the female café owner.

When the customer was asked to leave by the owner, the man not only refused but became aggressive and violent. He hit the woman and threw her to the ground before emptying the café’s cash register and fleeing with the day’s takings.

If anyone witnessed the incident or are able to provide any clues, they are asked to contact the police.
