Fire damages private home

Firefighters were called out in the capital early on Thursday when a fire broke out in a shutter box.

A call was made to the emergency services at around 1.30am reporting smoke from an address in rue Pierre d'Aspelt in Luxembourg City.

The fire was found to have started in a roller shutter box and was thought to have burned for some time while the occupants of the home were out.

The house suffered considerable damage.
