Fog disrupts London City - Luxembourg flights

Two Luxair flights were disrupted on Thursday morning because of heavy fog around London City Airport. According to Luxair spokesman Patrick Lamesch, the first flight from Luxembourg to London City had to be diverted to Stansted airport because of poor visibility.

The first return flight was cancelled because the airline was unable to transport passengers from London City to Stansted due to a lack of available buses.

All passengers due to travel on the later flight were rebooked on the second return flight landing in Luxembourg at 1.25pm.

"Unfortunately, it happens sometimes throughout the year," Mr Lamesch told wort.lu.
