Follow the GovSat satellite launch live
GovSat's first satellite is set to be launched from the Air Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Wednesday, 31 January, at 4:25 pm Florida time (22:25 pm CET).
The launch, planned for 30 January, was pushed back by one day due to technical problems with the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
You can follow the launch of the rocket live here, as SpaceX has set up a live video feed of the action.
The satellite will deploy approximately 30 minutes after launch, according to SpaceX.
The GovSat-1 satellite, designed to operate for 15 years, will help the Luxembourg government meet its defence objectives.
It will also allow Luxembourg to participate in defence efforts as a member of NATO, the European Union and the European Space Agency.
GovSat is a joint venture between the Luxembourg government and Luxembourg-based global satellite operator SES.
