Good results for rainy Schueberfouer
(CS/vb) Organisers of the Schueberfouer said Wednesday that they are satisfied with the results of this year's fun fair, despite being plagued by rain throughout the three weeks.
According to President of the International Association of Fairground Exhibitors, Roger Pelzer, there were more visitors this year than in 2012. However, he is expecting an average result for the exhibitors, with visitors spending less than in past years.
Speaking to Radio DNR, Pelzer said that there had been more advertising in the Greater Region for the Fouer, which had paid off. Even though there was rain for nearly all weekends, there was always a good flow of visitors, he said.
While a final balance sheet will take some time, Pelzer estimated that visitors spent around 25 million euros at the Fouer.
“This year was not bad, but we've had better years,” Pelzer concluded.
