Gourmet guide names Luxembourg Chef of the Year
(MSS) Owner of Moutfort restaurant "Ma Langue Sourit", Cyril Molard, has been named Luxembourg Chef of the Year by the gourmet guide Gault et Millau.
Molard, who is originally from the Vosges department in the north-west of France, opened the restaurant in April 2008, and just a year later he had cooked his way to a Michelin star.
“This award is primarily a tribute to my staff,” Molard said when he had just received the title. “It's a bit like a dessert – I enjoy this award.”
Before he launched himself as restaurant owner, Molard had made a name for himself as chef at Hotel Royal in Luxembourg City, where he worked from 1999 to 2008.
