(RM) As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policies, ING Luxembourg raised 29,000 euros in 2012 for the children support group “Service de Rééducation Précoce – Hëllef fir de Puppelchen asbl'' (SRP-HFP) in Strassen.

In 2011 the banking group started raising funds for the SRP-HFP, with one cent donated to the not-for-profit for every ING Luxembourg VISA credit card transaction made in 2011 and 2012.

ING's first donation of 27.000 euros, collected during 2011, allowed the charity to refurbish its existing facilities and to also purchase additional equipment for its branches across the country.

The second campaign carried out by ING Luxembourg took place throughout 2012 and has raised 29.000 euros. Part of these funds will be used to further invest in the development and modernisation of the charity's existing facilities.

The rest of the money is intended to be used for the creation of a major treatment centre in Esch-sur-Alzette.
