Is it a meteorite or space station?

(dho/JB) A photograph taken of the sky over Luxembourg on Sunday evening appears to have sparked a mass online debate.

The image shows a bright white trail contrasted by dark, grey clouds. At first glimpse, it was thought that the light trail was caused by a meteorite, not an uncommon occurrence in Luxembourg.

Since the picture was posted online, other possibilities have been mooted. One commentator suggested it was a camera reflection, a trick of photography. Another said it could be a reflection of the International Space Station, when it flew over Luxembourg.
