Junglinster's new college to open this September
Students living in Junglinster will no longer need to pile on the bus for Grevenmacher, Echternach or Luxembourg City when a new school opens in the commune in September.
“Lënster Lycée” is set to open its doors to around 1,500 students on September 15, if all goes to plan.
The news will come as a relief to students living in Junglinster who must make the daily bus trip to other schools.
In addition to being able to study close to home, the new school promises access for students from 7.30am to 6.30pm, as well as individualised tutoring, homework support, training and other activities, it was revealed on Wednesday.
Around 40 people will be on the teaching staff for grades 7 to 10, ensuring a personalised offer for each student. The project is expected to cost a total 80 million euros.
Two information meetings about the new school will be held in April with dates to be confirmed.
