The new Infinity shopping centre willen open on Thursday in Luxembourg's Kirchberg business and European district.

The 6,500 square metre complex, with 22 shops, is located on the Avenue John F Kennedy, and will officially open its doors to consumers at 5 pm.

The development comprises of an office building which is already in use by law firm Allen and Overy, and a tower of high-end apartments.

It was announced two years ago that the Belgium developer of the complex - Immobel - had agreed to sell the offices and shops at the Infinity development to a German developer.

The developer said it would sell 100% of its shares in Infinity Working & Shopping to German fund manager Real I.S., which is making the acquisition on behalf of an undisclosed German insurance company.
