Knife-wielding lorry driver arrested
(CS) The prosecutor's office on Saturday evening ordered the arrest of a lorry driver who apparently threatened two people with a knife at a service station on the A3.
According to a witness, the driver was drunk when he walked up to two people wielding a knife. No-one was injured, however.
When police arrived at the scene around 8.45pm, security guards had already taken possession of the weapon. The two people the driver had reportedly threatened were no longer on site.
The lorry driver was found in the driver's cabin of his vehicle and refused to cooperate with police or give testimony.
By order of the prosecution the knife was confiscated and the driver placed under arrest pending further investigative work.
