Kodaline are one of those bands that have been gradually creeping up on the international music scene and gaining more and more fans across the world. With their clever song-writing, sometimes folky, sometimes pop and occasionally rock, the quartet have amassed great respect from the music industry and fans alike.

The band made their Luxembourg debut at Rock-A-Field last year and to say they made an impression would be an understatement. They were one of the biggest surprises of the festival, performing a flawless show to a big appreciative crowd.

So naturally Kodaline had to make a return to Luxembourg and on June 7 will play their very own concert at den Atelier, supported by local folk-pop band Seed to Tree.

Kodaline have achieved a major following in the UK and their home country Ireland and their debut album “In A Perfect World”, after a string of EP releases, has been highly successful.

Despite their fame and fortune, the guys remain extremely down to earth and during their Rock-A-Field  performance it was generally agreed amongst journalists that they were one of the most welcoming, friendly and fun bands to interview, feeling more like a “chat with the lads” than an interview.

Indeed this friendliness and closeness to fans, extends to their stage act giving the impression of an almost private performance, commendable when you take a peek at the very long list of world tour dates Kodaline is currently playing.

Kodaline will be supported by local indie folk-pop band Seed to Tree who also played Rock-A-Field last year before going on to play a host of impressive shows and festivals both in and out of Luxembourg. An album recording is planned for the 5 guys in September at “La Chapelle” studios in Belgium one of the biggest recording studio facilities in Europe.

Doors at the Atelier open at 8pm on June 7 and tickets cost 22 euros. Full details on the Atelier website: www.atelier.lu
