Many people just arriving in the Grand Duchy scrabble for information regarding quick and easy ways of obtaining information on accommodation. Notably, cheap, rental and apartment or house sharing.

For the latter an accommodation sharing website has appeared on the web covering Luxembourg called “Appartager” which seems to be an affiliate of a UK website “EasyRoomate”.

In these penny-pinching times when many people are looking for more affordable methods of accommodation, especially in the some-what costly Grand Duchy, a site like this will no doubt prove extremely useful for newcomers to Luxembourg as well as those of us who’ve been here a while.

On the site you can search for your desired accommodation you wish to share, search for a nice flatmate, or even post your own profile for others to find you. You do, of course, need to open an account but this does not cost anything.

If you have a house or apartment you’d like to start sharing, there’s a possibility to post that up on the site too, and it is also totally free.

The website is available in several languages including English, so take a visit: www.appartager.lu

Note, there is something a little confusing about the site: When you choose English it states “ Over 10,000 rooms for rent in the UK ”. This has no bearing on the rest of the site and you can continue searching in Luxembourg.

Please note, this article is not advertising, and there is no cost involved when using the website. We simply thought this information would be useful to wort.lu/en readers.
