LSAP confirmed to win one seat in north Luxembourg

Voters in the north have decided and the LSAP is winning one seat, which the ADR loses, while the DP, the Greens and the CSV retain the seats they previously had.

(CS) Voters in the north have decided and the LSAP is winning one seat, which the ADR loses, while the DP, the Greens and the CSV retain the seats they previously had.

The CSV was the biggest loser in the north, as support plummeted from 39.6 percent in 2009 to 33.69 percent in 2013.

The DP meanwhile improved from 18.18 percent to 23.71 percent.

The ADR lost significantly, from just over 10 percent to 6.36 percent. This results sees them lose their seat to the LSAP, which gained just over 17 percent of the vote, stable compared to last year.

The Green party lost just over 1.5 percent.

Among the parties competing to enter parliament, the Pirate Party fared best with a result of 3.37 percent, before the PID (3.26 percent), “déi Lénk” (0.56) and the KPL (-0.17 percent).

Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Etienne Schneider was at the top of the list in the north and is also the LSAP's top candidate for the office of Prime Minister.
