(CS) Between August 29 and 31, unknown suspects stole some 1,200 metres of bronze wire along the train tracks between Kleinbettingen and Luxembourg.

The suspects climbed onto the overhead lines to clip off the wire. They also stole wire which had been left alongside the track.

Police were on site to secure evidence.

The incident comes after a series of thefts across the summer, where hundreds of metres of copper wire were stolen from construction sites around Luxembourg.
